Hygiene at the touch of a button
Hygiene starts with MEIKO technology
Every time a guest raises a glass to take a drink, every time the nursing staff use care utensils, every time a firefighter puts on a BA mask, one thing has to be certain:
as well as being clean, these objects have to be totally hygienic so that they can be used without hesitation.
The Sinner’s circle as the basis for hygiene
Every cleaning process and the resulting cleanliness and hygiene is influenced by the interaction of the following 4 factors:
- Time
- Mechanical action
- Temperature
- Chemicals (i.e. detergent and rinse aid)
The mechanism of action underlying this and taking effect in every aspect of our technology is called the Sinner’s circle.
Although the intensity of the individual parameters can be varied, collectively they are interdependent. They must always add up to the same total and they must be precisely balanced in order to deliver the perfect cleaning result.
Machine cleaning vs. manual cleaning:
we have compared the two methods in multiple disciplines. Read our online magazines to find out which performs better where!

- All of our machines achieve the perfect interplay between the four factors described in the Sinner’s circle.
- Because of this, a machine boasts many advantages over manual reprocessing:
- cleaning processes run automatically at the touch of a button, in a closed system, without releasing aerosols and vapours, without employees having to intervene.
Hygiene features – for additional safety
A MEIKO machine is also always full of good ideas: for noticeable improvements in resource efficiency, for better ergonomics – as well as for more hygiene.
Whether heat recovery, high-quality materials, carefully considered communication between human and machine or solutions like the GiO-MODULE reverse osmosis module:
the specific properties of our machines and the technical features we have developed make the cleaning process incredibly hygienic.
For clients who want their glasses and dishes to sparkle, improving the water quality is essential – and that calls for demineralisation or osmosis.
Heat recovery to enhance air qualitiy and energy efficiency
- We continue to perfect the symbiosis of water and technology in the interest of hygiene.
- The materials we select and how we process them minimise contact surfaces for germs and make cleaning easy.
- Our machines are intuitive to operate, preventing user error.
- We work in close collaboration with test institutes and experts to validate our processes and procedures.
The specific details that make our individual machines hygienically safe do of course vary by machine type. However, some technologies are so convincing that we use them in all of our appliances.
We have provided a list of the major hygiene features of each machine type in our online magazines:
